End of term

Hey everyone,
Finally got to the end of term and I'm going back home for Christmas tomorrow, just one more youth group to go!!!!!
It's been a very exciting term and had lots of things going on working with my church and with Domi (youth worker at the neighbouring parish). Recently we've just started the process of starting a new youth club during the week and we're nearly ready to go will be starting soon after Christmas with lots of fun and games but it definetly was a lot harder to start a new group than I thought it would be, lots more to consider than it seems. Have a great Christmas everyone!!!

Shalom

You've been ASBO'd

Here's a great resource for youth workers across the country. It comes from the Frontier Youth Trust and is all about bringing attention to all the wonderful things that young people do rather than just seeing all the negative attention they get in the media. Go to the following link for more info and to download the full size certificate which you can print on to high qualioty card and make a big deal out of giving this to a young person. There is also a facebook group out there somewhere.

Lifehouse Everything Skit - a powerful video

Here's an incredibly powerful video clip that was found on youtube. I've shown it to my small group and it was a very worshipful moment in the silence just after it finished.

WARNING: This video has reference to self harm.

Hey everyone here is my new blog, got tired of myspace as most people do. I'm gonna try and contribute to this regularly to keep everyone up to date with everything that is going on for me. At some stage I will post some Bible studies up - these will mainly aimed at young people but they'll contain everything that I would put into one for adults too.
Anyway I've now been at St Saviour's church for a couple of months and have settled in well, I'm running several groups with the young people in the church and at the locl secondary school so hopefully things will keep on getting better.
Shalom
